I knew this day would come way faster than I expected. A bunch of mixed emotions celebrating Mason's 1st Birthday. Emotional that my boy is growing up, so independent, walking on his own, and no longer breastfeeding. But, I'm also SO overjoyed watching him grow! Every stage has been absolutely amazing and I feel so special to be his mama.
Mason turned the big O-N-E on Tuesday, August 1st and we celebrated with our loved ones on Saturday, August 5th. We were surrounded by 50 of our closest friends an family all in celebration of Mason's sweet life!
This party theme was literally a dream come true. Ever since I found out I was pregnant, I had this dream of throwing a Fiesta Themed party. And since Mason is 1/2 Mexican, it just made sense! Burnt my hand with a hot glue gun, spent more money then expected, cut more than enough streamers, was covered in glitter, stressed about the little things - but every little detail turned out amazing. My in-laws cooked up the most delicious, authentic meal that included carne asada tacos, chorizo, and my favorite, sopes!
It was such a beautiful day being surrounded by so many people that love Mason. People that prayed for Mason when I was pregnant with him, people that see him every week and just love on him, and people that invest in his life! As a parent, I couldn't ask for more. To know my boy is surrounded by so many people that love him, means the world to me. Such a beautiful day of celebration!
